If your a model train hobbyist, this is a great buy
LEDs from my experience see to have an indefinite life span. I have one that I replaced on my furnace air cleaner that has run continuously for about 5 years. However I have seen them quit for no apparent reason with far less usage . So Im giving this high rating based on unit cost and quality of brightness thus far . I would guess that LED technology is at the end of its development and would hope that these will provide long and reliable service.

Great leds for the price.
These Leds work great! I have used them in 5 different projects. The only time I had them quit is when I built a circuit wrong and shoved way too much current through them (I accidently pushed 12v with no resistors, oops). In other words, the only failures was my fault. They are very reliable when used correctly. They are also super bright.

Nice!
Nice. Fits. As expected, the different colors vary in intensity when driven through a 1k resistor to +5v, so take a moment and figure out the proper limiting resistor for each color. I used a potentiometer to set the green intensity where I wanted it, replaced the pot with a fixed resistor, and then matched each other color’s intensity with the pot.

Inconsistent, but still a great deal
The brightness of the LEDs is inconsistent. Given the price, I’m willing to sift through to find matching ones for my projects.
