Love the Organization
I love the packaging these guys use, I hate to be digging around in every bag/box I have to find each component, this keeps it organized. Mine did crack open during transit but the tape and whatnot they put on there kept all but a few from coming out, no big deal. I do wish they had even more information about each component on the back, I would pay extra for that. Heck, when you buy these you know your paying a premium for organization, might as well go all the way similar to these guys’ IC bundle (which I also bought). Keeping in mind I haven’t put but a few of these components to the test, I’m already a huge fan of EEEEE. Wish they had more packages like this, I think I own all but one and I’ll probably buy the last one in short order, as soon as I need any of those components.What I would really love to see them do, is put together a microcontrollers package where you get the device to program the microcontrollers and a few microcontrollers with it. I realize that is heavy stuff, but I would buy it.

Package is bad
So they came in a bubble envelope and when i opened the envelope some of the diode came right out. They are in 2 separate containers that remind of something you would use to keep your days of the week of pills separately. But they are not very sturdy and easily open, now the items themselves are fine. Just pooooooor packaging

Poor packaging
This item consists of 250 pieces of diodes and rectifiers. It arrived on time but the plastic cases separating the different types of diodes and rectifiers had been opened and mixed together. Since these are small components with no markings, they are now essentially useless.

Poor quality container
Several of the compartments were open, and there was a messy pile of diodes. Not worth the time trying to sort these tiny components. Returned item for a replacement.Update: Received a new item as a replacement, but there was the same problem with open compartments and a messy pile of diodes. Will not try again, and asked for a refund.

Well designed kit
I’m really impressed with the way this kit was designed. In general for electronics components the ones I receive are rarely sent in a state that makes identification and storage easy but rather just dumped in little bags and sent my way. This kit, however, has each of the different diode types clearly labeled and contained in boxes that can be opened and closed as needed. It makes the process of getting to the diodes I need a lot easier. In fact I took some of the diodes I already had and added them to the containers.The containers don’t look tacky, the diodes work, and they came in a great storage solution, what’s not to like? Would highly recommend these.

very good variety of diodes and great packaging
This Diode kit comes with a variety of diodes including rectifiers of varying amps and volts, switching diodes, fast recovery diodes, Schottky diodes, and Zener diodes. I tested some of them and found they work well. A visual inspection of the rest led me to believe they are all well made. Finally, the packaging for these components is great. Each diode compartment has a clam shell cover that clicks securely into place on the top of which is a label that clearly indicates what type of diode is inside. The labeling is both in color and with text.

Nice assortment, great packaging.
This is a really nice little assortment of various diode types and I’m sure they’re going to find homes in lots of projects here. The packaging is great. You can see the diodes through the bottom of the transparent trays, and each compartment has a plastic cover/door that opens and closes with a nice positive snap, and the trays completely solve the problem of storing and keeping track of them.

Neat assortment of diodes– definitely a needed addition to my horde of maker parts. My only regret is that it does not come in a more traditional parts box. It came in something that resembled a large CD jewel case box.

It did the trick.
I needed to add a diode in-line to a wire on my alternator in order to cause the alternator to charge at a higher voltage. This worked great for me and leaves me spare diodes for future projects.

Good value, and I LOVE the packaging, but ….
This is beautifully packaged, a long, narrow WELL LABELED plastic container for each variety of diode, and a really good assortment for the money. Just what I need for experimenting with new circuits.I took off one star because 4 of the 20 containers opened up in shipping. Luckily, only 3 diodes were loose in the package so I could repatriate them fairly easily. I think they should use one piece of tape, folded over, to seal all the containers so that these don’t open in shipping.

I absolutely love this diode assortment. The individual compartments and excellent detailed labeling are perfect for older hobbyists that have difficulty reading codes and markings on components. I really love that each compartment has its own lid, thus reducing the chance of cross mixing of components. Finally, the total 250 component package is very thin and compact. I’ve now purchased at least 3 different component assortments from EEEEE and they all fit in a small space on my workshop shelves.

Diode collection assortment gives the designer almost all he needs for most designs. Good value for the price and quantity.

The diodes show up mostly in the bag (not in their containers).
The packaging is substandard and allows the containers to open during shipping. That allows many of the diodes to fall out and get mixed during shipping. This completely defeats the purpose of having separating containers if one has to reorganize the diodes after receiving them. I was unimpressed with the lack of packaging of this product.

I ordered this to build up by electronics workbench. It arrived as advertised. I like the container that’s used as it keeps things organized though I do wish they saran wrapped it becuase some pieces were already outside and I had to do my best to get them back where they belonged. But for the price I paid considering there is no one local who sells this I am happy.

Doorbell required diode to function
I like that there was one in this large selection that fixed my doorbell…I’m not sure why diodes are not carried by lowes/home depot if they are commonly needed to function a doorbell, but they are not. I had no way of knowing which one I would need, so this 250 pack is what I bought, it was a selection under $10. Now I have 249 diodes in my basement. I’m happy my doorbell works.

Poor quality container, big mess!
I received my kit in a damage-free box, but when I opened it, almost all of the diodes spilled out. The lids for the plastic container weren’t closed and the tiny piece of tape that was supposed to keep them held down didn’t even adhere to the sides of the container. The organizer is very cheaply made and of poor quality compared to some of the other kits out there.

the packaging for shipping was terrible. The individual slots for the different diodes opened up in the shipping envelope and spilt out and got all mixed together and I had to go through and read the diode numbers. What a pain trying to read the numbers and put them back in the appropiate slot.
